TAHOE SAILING CHARTERS OFFERS AN AVALANCHE OF FUN

Mark Twain described Lake Tahoe as "a noble sheet of blue." Being on its water changes your relationship with the surrounding mountains forever: Tahoe's unfolding beauty is nowhere else so purely revealed. Its waters feel blessedly disconnected from the roadway clutter of summer.

"Out on the lake allows a person to enjoy Tahoe from a unique perspective," says Captain Mike Pavel of Tahoe Sailing Charters. "The beautiful surroundings and purity of water make it a wonderful experience."

Tahoe Sailing Charters offers water adventure seven days a week aboard the yacht "Avalanche." The J-105, 35-foot sloop combines roomy comfort with high performance sailing. Guests may enjoy hands on boating or just sit back and relax. Ice cold refreshments are included with the voyage.

"During summer months, the winds are light in the morning, then freshen around two in the afternoon," explains Mike, a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed skipper. "From 2 p.m. to sunset you get the best sailing on the lake."

Tahoe Sailing Charters offers scenic two hour afternoon cruises and romantic sunset sails. All-day charters to Emerald Bay, half-day charters to Sugar Pine Point, private group charters and corporate outings are also available upon request.

"Being on the water brings out the best in people, everybody's happy," explains Mike. "We have marriage proposals, anniversaries, and families enjoying their time together. It's a clean and natural way to enjoy a visit to Lake Tahoe."

Avalanche sails daily from the Tahoe City Marina on Lake Tahoe¹s North Shore. For departure times, reservations and information call (530) 583-6200, or visit www.tahoesail.
